Since January 1st of 2019, the network of modern, innovative and advanced Lithuanian libraries, according to statistical data, consisted of 1 234 libraries that had 2 446 professional workers and were visited by nearly 10 million visitors throughout the year.
Lithuanian public libraries are strong in their network because of their modern technologies, free internet access, the abundance of services, its openness and activity, and in its human resources as well. According to the researches in a field of sociology, 96 percent of citizens that had visited libraries in the previous year, were evaluating the libraries and their provided services positively.
